In the Odesa region, a TCC employee demanded a bribe in exchange for a deferment from mobilization
Law enforcement officials have notified an employee of one of the district territorial centers for conscription and social support (TCS&SS) in the Odesa region that she is under suspicion of extorting an unlawful benefit in exchange for assistance in obtaining disability status and a deferment from mobilization.
According to the investigation, in May 2026, a person subject to military service approached the official through an acquaintance who is a lawyer to seek advice on obtaining a Group III disability designation and a subsequent deferment from mobilization.
According to investigators, the TCC employee claimed she could assist in resolving this matter but demanded 11,000 U.S. dollars for her “services.”
At the same time, she convinced the complainant that it would be impossible to obtain the necessary documents without her help.
The man reported the extortion to law enforcement and subsequently acted under their supervision.
The employee of the district TCC and the joint venture was detained at a restaurant in Odesa immediately after receiving part of the agreed-upon sum.
The woman was notified that she was suspected of violating Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—abuse of influence combined with extortion of an unlawful benefit.
The court imposed a preventive measure on the suspect in the form of pretrial detention, with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of nearly 1 million hryvnias.
The pretrial investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, law enforcement officers in the capital detained two educators who had demanded monetary compensation from prospective students in exchange for assistance with admission to educational institutions.
