Authorities in the Odesa region have reported a hostile takeover of the Borivazh maritime terminal
Management at the “Borivazh” terminal in the Port of Pivdennyi reported that the facility had been seized by unknown individuals. The assets, which were previously linked to Ihor Kolomoyskyi and Hennadiy Boholyubov, have long been the subject of legal disputes.
Sources in law enforcement agencies reported this to EP.
At around 7:00 a.m. on September 29, a group of unknown individuals arrived at the maritime transshipment and storage complex (MTSC) in the Odesa region, forcibly occupied the premises, and established de facto control over the facility, the sources reported.
According to them, the individuals were “athletic in build, wearing balaclavas, and numbered approximately 50.” According to preliminary information, they are representatives of the “Sapsan” security company. Currently, access to the MTSC grounds is blocked by representatives of the security company.
Seven MPSK security guards were escorted out of the terminal. According to preliminary information, some of them sought medical attention to document their injuries.
Yulia Gryshchenko, a lawyer for “Terminal Borivazh” LLC, reported the criminal offense to the National Police (Main Directorate in the Odesa Region), EP notes.
