A bear fatally injured a woman on the Polish-Ukrainian border — PAP
In Poland, near the border with Ukraine, a bear attacked a 58-year-old woman, who died from her injuries.

The tragedy occurred in a forest near the village of Plonna in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. According to the victim’s son, they had been in the forest together but later split up. After that, the woman called and said she saw a bear, but soon lost contact.
Police, a prosecutor, and medical personnel are working at the scene to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Local authorities have urged residents and visitors to refrain from hiking in the woods in this area and to stay away from the scene of the tragedy.
According to preliminary data, the cause of death was severe injuries inflicted by the predator.
