A judge will stand trial in the Carpathian region for a fatal traffic accident
A judge of the Pidhaetsky District Court in Ternopil Oblast will stand trial for a fatal traffic accident that occurred in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
This was reported by the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, in the fall of 2025, in the village of Fraga, she was driving a Lexus at a speed exceeding 80 km/h within the village limits and struck two pedestrians at a crosswalk.

As a result of the accident, one man died at the scene, while the other sustained minor injuries.
The judge is charged with violating traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person. She faces up to 8 years in prison.

She was detained after the accident, and the court imposed a pretrial detention measure with an alternative bail of over 1 million UAH.
The victims’ relatives filed a civil lawsuit seeking 4.8 million hryvnias.
In the Chernihiv region, eight people were injured in a traffic accident.
Additionally, in Rivne region, road workers were charged in connection with a traffic accident that left three people dead.
