In the Rivne region, a former chief physician caused a medical facility to suffer losses of more than ₴12 million
In the Rivne region, law enforcement officials have formally charged the former chief physician of a municipal medical facility, who is suspected of causing more than 12.3 million hryvnias in losses to the hospital.
According to the investigation, the 71-year-old former official acted in collusion with the facility’s chief accountant between 2022 and 2024.
They signed and approved staffing tables that contained knowingly false information regarding the amounts of employees’ salaries.
As a result of these actions, 51 hospital employees were unjustifiably paid inflated salaries, and the hospital made unwarranted payments of the unified social contribution.
The investigation established that, by abusing his official position, the former director caused losses to the medical facility amounting to 12,370,835 hryvnias.
Investigators from the Investigative Department, under the procedural supervision of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor’s Office, notified the suspect of the charges against him.
In addition, law enforcement officials noted that they had recently completed a pretrial investigation into the former official regarding official negligence. The indictment in that case is currently pending before the court.
The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are establishing all the circumstances surrounding the infliction of multimillion-hryvnia losses on the medical facility.
