Traffic on the Kyiv–Chop highway will be partially restricted due to roadwork
Phased lane closures are planned on the M-06 Kyiv–Chop highway within the village of Kalynivka in the Bucha district.
Starting April 8, repair work will begin there, which could significantly affect traffic flow on one of the country’s busiest highways.
This was reported with reference to the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in the Kyiv region.
Phased lane closures are planned on the M-06 Kyiv–Chop highway within the village of Kalynivka in the Bucha district (section km 51+700 – km 52+700). The restrictions will apply to both directions: toward Kyiv and toward Zhytomyr.
According to preliminary data, the repair work and associated restrictions will last nearly four months—until early August 2026.
The temporary inconveniences are related to the repair of the overpass at the interchange with the T-10-19 road (Fenevychi – Borodianka – Makariv – Byshiv). The work will be carried out in accordance with the approved traffic management plans.
It should be noted that the M-06 highway is a key transportation artery connecting the capital with the western regions.
The Road Maintenance Service urges road users to plan their routes in advance, taking into account possible traffic jams on this section, strictly follow the requirements of temporary road signs, and be especially careful and reduce speed in the work zone.
