Ukrainians are increasingly calling for restrictions on access to gambling

As noted, between June and December 2025, approximately 300 people were added to the registry, which is ten times fewer than in 2026. Currently, PlayCity processes about 1,000 self-exclusion requests each month. The registry of individuals with restricted access to gambling now includes over 16,000 people.

On PlayCity’s official website, in the “Combating Gambling Addiction” section, users have access to the following tools:

• a test to assess the risk of gambling addiction;
• submission of an online self-exclusion request;
• submitting an online application to restrict access to gambling for a first-degree relative.

Restricting access to gambling is a tool that allows a person to voluntarily and temporarily limit their access to legal gambling.

After submitting the application, the data is entered into the registry within one business day. The process involves several steps: receiving the application, verifying the presence and accuracy of personal data, and, if necessary, clarifying information in case of errors or inaccuracies.

After that, the data is entered into the registry, and PlayCity notifies the individual of this entry via the email address provided in the application. All licensed gambling operators are required to ensure compliance with the established restriction.

The self-exclusion period is determined by the applicant and ranges from six months to three years—in the case of an application submitted independently. If the application is submitted to restrict a close relative, the period is up to six months, with the possibility of extending this term. Applications can be submitted on the official PlayCity website in the “Combating Gambling Addiction” section.
