Unstable weather with sharp temperature fluctuations is forecast for Ukraine in the days leading up to Easter.
This was reported by Ivan Semylit, a representative of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
Fog is possible throughout the week leading up to the holiday, especially in the central and southern regions.
Temperatures will range from +5 to +10 degrees at night and up to +18 degrees during the day, but it will be colder in the west.
From April 8 to 12, a sharp drop in temperature is expected—down to 0–3 degrees at night and only +1 to +8 during the day.
No significant precipitation is forecast for Palm Sunday, though strong winds are possible.
On Easter Sunday itself, temperatures will range from +1 to +6 degrees at night and +11 to +16 degrees during the day, reaching up to +18 degrees in the south.
Forecasters warn of wind gusts up to 15–20 m/s.
Easter is a movable feast, the date of which changes every year. In 2026, it may be celebrated on either April 5 or April 12, which causes some confusion.
