A mother and her 12-year-old daughter were killed in a traffic accident in Vinnytsia Oblast
A fatal traffic accident involving a passenger car and a truck occurred near the village of Ksaverivka in the Vinnytsia district, claiming the lives of two people.
This was officially reported by the Vinnytsia Regional Police.
As a result of the head-on collision, the vehicles burst into flames instantly, and the driver of the passenger car and her minor child died at the scene.
Law enforcement officials have already launched a pre-trial investigation to determine all the details of the tragedy.
According to preliminary information from investigators, the 47-year-old female driver of a Toyota lost control of her vehicle on a difficult section of the road.
She allowed her vehicle to veer into the oncoming lane, where a DAF truck with a semi-trailer was traveling at that moment.
A 38-year-old resident of Zhytomyr Oblast was behind the wheel of the massive truck and was unable to avoid the powerful impact.
Immediately after the collision, both vehicles were engulfed in flames, which significantly complicated the initial rescue efforts.
Reinforced police units, rescuers from the State Emergency Service, and other relevant emergency services responded promptly at the scene of the tragedy.
Due to the serious scale of the accident and the firefighting efforts, traffic on this section of the highway had to be temporarily rerouted in the opposite direction.
Rescuers and medical personnel who arrived at the scene confirmed the deaths of the car’s passengers, who had no chance of survival at the epicenter of the fire.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the car and her 12-year-old daughter died at the scene. Subsequently, law enforcement officials officially identified the victims of the car crash and notified their relatives.
The victims were residents of the Poltava region who were passing through the area.
