The Pension Fund will automatically disburse subsidies to most Ukrainians

The Pension Fund will automatically disburse subsidies to most Ukrainians

Most recipients of housing subsidies for the non-heating season will continue to receive government assistance without having to submit additional applications.

This was officially reiterated by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

At the same time, certain categories of citizens must submit a new application and income declaration to the Pension Fund by the end of June to avoid losing their entitlement to payments.

Funds will be allocated according to updated state standards, taking into account the financial status of families.

Following the end of the heating season on April 30, the non-heating period began on May 1, during which state support for housing and utility services is also provided.

For most households, the process will be automatic.

If the family composition and other details have not changed, the Pension Fund will independently verify the information through state registries and make a decision regarding the continued allocation of the subsidy.

Information regarding the results of the review, the amount of payments, or a possible denial will be sent to the citizen’s personal account on the Pension Fund’s e-services portal.

Such notifications are sent before the start of both the heating and non-heating seasons. This ensures maximum transparency in the process of distributing state funds.

At the same time, certain categories of subsidy recipients must resubmit their documents.

This must be done by the end of June; otherwise, the subsidy will be granted only from the month the application is submitted, rather than from the start of the non-heating period. Failure to apply on time will result in the loss of payments for May and June.

Rates, subsidies, and new rules: what will change in Ukrainians’ utility bills in May

Earlier, the Ukrainian government officially introduced a new procedure for reimbursing housing and utility costs for facilities hosting evacuated citizens.

As a reminder, the government has expanded rental compensation for veterans.

The government has also submitted a bill to the Rada regarding compensation for destroyed housing.
