In Volyn, a woman sold her 6-year-old son for $25,000
In the Volyn region, law enforcement officials apprehended a 39-year-old woman who attempted to sell her own six-year-old son. According to the investigation, she planned to receive $25,000 for the child.

As established by the police, the unemployed resident of the Lutsk district was looking for “buyers” and negotiating the transfer of the boy. She was detained on April 17 while receiving money at an establishment in Lutsk.
According to law enforcement officials, the woman intended to improve her financial situation through this act. She has been formally notified of the charges against her. She faces up to 15 years in prison for her actions.
The child was taken into custody and transported to a specialized children’s center. Specialists are working with the boy, and he is receiving the necessary assistance.
