A record-breaking white mushroom weighing nearly 2 kilograms was found in Volyn
In the forests near Manevychi in Volyn, a true mushroom giant was found during a “quiet hunt.” The white mushroom weighs 1 kilogram and 820 grams. It’s not every day that you find a white mushroom this large in the woods.
According to Manevychi resident Vitaliy Kurdelchuk, his wife, Viktoria, found the mushroom on September 13. The find was made near Manevychi, in a wooded area by the ponds. They are located not far from the forest road leading to the Vovchetsky Forest District.
The find was impressive in size: the mushroom weighs 1,820 grams. For fans of “quiet hunting,” such a find was a pleasant surprise, as it’s not every day that you come across a white mushroom weighing over one and a half kilograms in the forest.
As you can see in the photo, this is a true giant—the diameter of its “cap” is significantly larger than the width of an average person’s face.
