In Transcarpathia, a lieutenant colonel from the Territorial Defense Forces was suspended after showing up intoxicated to a meeting
The head of the First Division of the Uzhhorod District Territorial Control Center and Joint Staff in Perechyn, Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Pliska, was suspended from his duties after he arrived at a meeting while intoxicated.
According to reports, Andriy Pliska has also submitted a request to be relieved of his duties.
The meeting was chaired by Colonel Oleksandr Boyarchuk, head of the Mobilization Department of the Operational Command, and Colonel Dmytro Kameristov, acting head of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Registration and Enlistment Office and Military Service Agency.
During the event, it became apparent that Lieutenant Colonel Pliska was intoxicated.
He was subsequently suspended from duty pending an internal investigation. On August 20, Pliska submitted a request asking to be relieved of his duties.
Journalists from ZAXID.NET contacted the head of the communications team at the Transcarpathian Regional Traffic Police and Special Forces to obtain more detailed information about the internal investigation, but have not yet received a response.
This is not the first incident involving officials from the Transcarpathian Regional Traffic Police and Public Safety Department appearing at work while intoxicated.
In March, Oleksiy Travov, the head of the Irshava Traffic Police Department, was also accused of being intoxicated at work. According to Vitaliy Hlahola, he threatened workers repairing a bridge with a weapon.
Upon the arrival of the Military Law Enforcement Service, Travov refused to undergo a sobriety test. His refusal was documented, after which a report was filed and an internal investigation was launched.

Earlier, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Territorial Center for Social Protection and Social Assistance was suspended from his post on suspicion of extorting and receiving $15,000 in illicit benefits.
In Odesa, veterans and people with war-related disabilities detained a representative of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support following a conflict during which he used force against a child.
