Iryna Mudra Reached a Plea Deal with Investigators — Social Media
The High Anti-Corruption Court will continue today, August 24, to consider the issue of imposing a preventive measure on Iryna Mudra, the former deputy head of the Office of the President. According to Telegram channels, Mudra has decided to strike a deal with investigators.
In
particular, the Telegram channel “Vanya Dollar” reported on a possible agreement. However, no details have been provided.
As a reminder, on August 19, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) announced that they had notified a number of officials—who on June 29 arranged for 150 million hryvnias in bail to be posted for one of the defendants in the “Midas” case—that they were suspected of laundering funds obtained by criminal means.
According to the investigation, the group included the deputy head of the Office of the President, a former member of parliament, the chairman of the board of a state-owned bank, the chairman of the supervisory board of a state-owned bank, and others.
In particular, investigative actions were carried out at the residence of Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Office of the President.
On August 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Iryna Mudra from her position as deputy head of the Office of the President. Mudra later stated that she had submitted her resignation herself.
