NABU stated that the SBU twice refused to initiate sanctions against Ivanyushchenko
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has twice appealed to the Security Service of Ukraine to initiate the imposition of National Security and Defense Council sanctions against Yuriy Ivanyushchenko, a former People’s Deputy from the “Party of Regions,” but its requests were denied.
NABU Director Semen Kryvonos announced this during a briefing.
According to him, after the first refusal, NABU appealed to the SBU again, pointing out that on the security service’s own official websites, Ivanyushchenko was referred to as an agent of the FSB’s Fifth Directorate. The bureau also provided information regarding the former MP’s possible Russian citizenship and his alleged control over businesses in the temporarily occupied territories.
Despite this, according to Kryvonos, the SBU did not initiate the imposition of sanctions.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has authorized a special pre-trial investigation into former People’s Deputy Yuriy Ivanyushchenko in a case involving the alleged misappropriation of land plots.
Earlier, Swiss law enforcement authorities provided Ukrainian investigators with documents regarding bank accounts and transactions linked to former Ukrainian MP Yuriy Ivanyushchenko. These funds have been frozen and are expected to be returned to Ukraine in the future.
