The National Guard has received the latest armored vehicles for chemical and radiological reconnaissance
The National Guard of Ukraine has received its first domestically produced armored radiation and chemical reconnaissance vehicles based on the UAT-TISA chassis, which will replace the outdated Soviet-era UAZ-469RKhB vehicles.
The new design was developed according to the National Guard’s technical specifications and has already been delivered to radiation, chemical, and biological protection units.
Unlike their Soviet counterparts, which lacked adequate armor, the new system allows for remote reconnaissance, provides real-time monitoring, and protects the crew from threats—which is critically important in the event of potential enemy use of chemical agents or shelling of infrastructure facilities.
