Zelenskyy Coordinated New Personnel Decisions with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council
On August 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Igor Klymenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. During the meeting, the parties agreed on a number of personnel decisions and discussed further strengthening the work of the National Security and Defense Council.
According to the president, special attention was paid to strengthening the capabilities of the National Security and Defense Council and coordinating its future actions.
“Igor Klymenko’s report. We have planned to strengthen the NSDC’s capabilities. In addition to its usual function of coordinating processes in the field of Ukraine’s security and defense, we need a more realistic assessment of all parameters of our state’s resilience. Responding to man-made emergencies, mitigating the consequences of Russian strikes, and carrying out tasks to prepare regions and communities for the winter season and related challenges—all of this must happen much more promptly,” the statement reads.
Zelenskyy noted that he had agreed with Ihor Klymenko on the necessary organizational and personnel decisions. According to him, they also agreed to change the approaches to setting the agenda and monitoring the implementation of decisions by the General Staff and the National Security and Defense Council.
“We also identified measures to improve Ukraine’s performance in the areas of cybersecurity and information resilience, as well as in countering Russian information operations,” Zelenskyy added.

The head of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) stated that high-level corruption is on the rise in Ukraine.
According to him, it is also necessary to eliminate the obstacles hindering the work of anti-corruption agencies and ensure the ability to effectively investigate cases regardless of the status of those involved. He made these remarks during a briefing, according to Oleksandr Klymenko, head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO).

Law enforcement officials say that one victim may have been defrauded of nearly 1.6 million hryvnias in this manner.
