In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the organizer of the soldiers' escape from their units was exposed
The Dnipro Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Defense Affairs in the Eastern Region has notified a civilian and two military personnel that they are under suspicion. According to the investigation, the civilian used Telegram and phone calls to coordinate the soldiers’ escape, provided instructions, and arranged transportation to take them away from their deployment sites.
As a result of the accomplice’s actions, one servicemember left the service in August 2025, and the other in March 2026. In July 2026, both deserters were detained. During searches in the Dnipropetrovsk region, authorities seized mobile phones containing evidence of correspondence, documents, and a 200 Toyota Land Cruiser. Currently, the soldiers are being held in custody, while the civilian accomplice is under round-the-clock house arrest.
