A doctor at a military clinic in Ivano-Frankivsk was caught taking a bribe
In Ivano-Frankivsk, a psychiatrist at a military clinic was notified that she is suspected of aiding and abetting the receipt of an unlawful benefit.
According to the investigation, she received $5,000 from a servicemember for allegedly helping him pass a medical examination and obtain a Group II disability classification. Law enforcement officials claim that the soldier had medical grounds for the relevant findings, but the doctor assured him that she could influence the officials’ decision.
During searches of the suspect’s premises, authorities seized 5,000 euros and 18,000 dollars, including some marked bills. The court ordered her to post bail as a preventive measure.
