In Chernivtsi, a minibus driver who insulted military personnel was drafted
In Chernivtsi, a 49-year-old driver of bus route No. 14 was mobilized after he used profanity directed at Ukrainian military personnel during a conflict with passengers.
The man has already been sent to a military unit to prepare for active duty. He had previously been exempt from mobilization and worked as a public bus driver, but was fired following the incident.
The incident occurred on August 5 near the “Drizhdzhzavod” bus stop. A video of the altercation was shared on social media. In the recording, the driver claimed that the military was allegedly “fighting for bandits” and insulted them.
The police identified the man and notified him that he was suspected of violating Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—hooliganism. A pretrial investigation is currently underway.
After being notified of the charges, the man also recorded a video apologizing.

According to him, instead of addressing the violations, “activists” began a coordinated effort to discredit the results of the monitoring visits.
