Naftogaz's supervisory board is surprised by rumors of Svyrydenko's possible appointment
The news of the possible appointment of former Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko as chair of Naftogaz of Ukraine came as a surprise to the company’s supervisory board and its international partners. This was stated by Tor Martin Anfinnsen, a member of the supervisory board.
He emphasized that regardless of who the potential candidate is, strict adherence to the principles of good corporate governance remains a key condition.

Former Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko may be appointed chair of Naftogaz of Ukraine. This was stated by Member of Parliament Oleksiy Honcharenko. According to him, the decision has already been made, and the necessary votes on the company’s supervisory board have been secured.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally confirmed that he had offered Yulia Svyrydenko the position of Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States. However, she declined the offer.
