Prosecutors from the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office have filed an indictment with the court against a 38-year-old Lviv resident accused of smuggling goods on an exceptionally large scale.

In January 2026, the man arrived at the customs control zone of the Lviv Customs Office in a Renault Trafic and chose the “green lane,” stating that he was not transporting any goods that needed to be declared.

During an inspection of the vehicle, customs officers discovered three specially equipped hiding compartments in the floor, concealed by metal plates and fabric.
