The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Territorial Election Commission was detained while accepting a $15,000 bribe

Law enforcement officials detained the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Registration and Enlistment Office on suspicion of receiving illicit benefits totaling 15,000 U.S. dollars. According to the investigation, the official was caught in the act of receiving $10,000 in exchange for refraining from taking mobilization measures against three men subject to military service, removing them from the wanted list in the “Oberig” system, and ensuring conditions for their continued employment at their places of work.

Earlier, as part of the same criminal proceeding, it was documented that he had received an additional $5,000. In exchange for these funds, the official promised to prevent a mobilized man from being sent to a military unit and to have him undergo a repeat military medical examination.

The military officer has now been detained pursuant to Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and searches are ongoing at his place of service and residence. The prosecutor’s office is preparing a notice of suspicion and will request that he be held in custody and removed from his position.

This was reported by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.

The head of the Transcarpathian Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support has been suspended from his duties. At the same time, an audit of the operations of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center system will be conducted in Transcarpathia.

Earlier, Lubinets stated that there were hundreds of hostages at the Berehove Recruitment and Social Support Center.
