The National Bank has issued a new commemorative coin: denomination and dedication
The National Bank of Ukraine has put a new commemorative coin into circulation, dedicated to a significant event or figure (depending on the series).
The coin has a mintage of up to 75,000 pieces, making it a limited edition for collectors and numismatists.
The National Bank has decided to put a new commemorative coin into circulation: “Ukrainian Folk Tales: Kyrylo Kozhumyaka.”
It is noted that the coin has a face value of 5 hryvnias and is made of nickel silver. The mintage is up to 75,000 pieces in souvenir packaging.
The obverse features three narrative scenes, separated by stylized ropes. Each scene illustrates key episodes from the fairy tale: Kyrylo Kozhumyaka’s craft; the children’s plea for help; and the princess’s enslavement by the serpent.
“The coin will be available for purchase at the NBU’s online numismatic store and through participating banks. For more details on the start of sales, please visit their websites,” the regulator’s press service added.
