The National Bank of Ukraine has revoked the licenses of two credit unions

The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to revoke the operating licenses of the "Hetman" District Credit Union and the "Verkhovyna" Credit Union and remove them from the State Register of Financial Institutions.

This was announced by the National Bank of Ukraine.

The regulator stated that the licenses were revoked based on applications submitted by the credit unions themselves, in accordance with a special procedure during martial law.

Both credit unions held standard licenses to operate as credit unions with the right to provide financial services, including granting loans of funds and bank metals, as well as accepting deposits and bank metals subject to repayment.

As of March 1, 2026, Hetman’s assets totaled 4,908,000 hryvnias, accounting for 0.4 percent of the total credit union market, while its liabilities amounted to 1,418,000 hryvnias (0.2 percent of the total market).

Verkhovyna’s assets amounted to 58,730 hryvnias (0.005 percent of the total credit union market), and its liabilities amounted to 27,510 hryvnias (0.004 percent of the total market).

Previously, the National Bank of Ukraine imposed sanctions on two non-bank financial companies: it revoked the license of Light Finance LLC and ordered Svarog Finance FC LLC to rectify the violations identified during supervision.

The National Bank of Ukraine revoked the license of FC Inter Finance LLC following an unscheduled inspection, which revealed that the company is not actually located at the address listed in the state registry.
