The National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK) discovered 533,000 euros in cash in a safe belonging to BEB official Zazulinsky

During an audit of the asset declaration filed by Viktor Zazulinsky, deputy head of a department at the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK) uncovered indications of inaccurate reporting of assets.

According to the NACP, the official failed to report income totaling more than 1.9 million hryvnias in his declaration. He explained that these funds came from his salary and his wife’s income.

However, an analysis of the flow of funds in their bank accounts showed that neither Zazulinsky nor his wife had sufficient income to accumulate such an amount during 2023–2024.

In addition, in his 2024 declaration, the official reported having over 533,000 euros in cash but did not provide any documents confirming the source of these funds.

According to Zazulinsky, after his father’s death, he inherited a bank safe deposit box. Upon opening the box, he claimed, it allegedly contained 583,000 euros.

At the same time, the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK) stated that an audit of the official’s father’s income and expenses did not confirm the possibility of accumulating such a sum.

The findings of the audit were forwarded to law enforcement agencies. Currently, the State Bureau of Investigations is conducting a pre-trial investigation into the case.

This was reported on July 27 by the Nikcenter Center for Investigative Journalism.

As a reminder, the new Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Vitaliy Kim, declared 2,605,858 hryvnias in income for 2025. This is evidenced by his electronic declaration of assets and income.
