Severe weather toppled trees and caused a fire in Vinnytsia Oblast — State Emergency Service
In the Vinnytsia region, rescue workers were dealing with the aftermath of the severe weather that struck on May 22.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Vinnytsia Oblast.
Due to strong winds and heavy rain, State Emergency Service units responded to 15 calls related to severe weather conditions. In 13 cases, rescuers removed fallen trees, and on two other occasions, they pumped water out of flooded homes.

The most severe effects of the storm were recorded in the Vinnytsia, Haisyn, and Khmilnytskyi districts. In Vinnytsia, on Zamostianska Street, a tree fell on a public transportation stop, but no one was injured.

Additionally, in the village of Dumenky in the Khmilnytskyi community, lightning struck a farm building. The fire destroyed the slate roof, but no one was injured.

The State Emergency Service urged people to close windows during thunderstorms, unplug electrical appliances, and avoid staying near trees, metal structures, and power lines.
