Severe weather in Ukraine: fallen trees have blocked roads in three regions
Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service are dealing with the aftermath of severe weather in several regions of Ukraine. The State Emergency Service reported this on Facebook on May 22,
In the Zhytomyr region, strong winds caused trees to fall onto roads in the Korosten and Zviahel districts, obstructing traffic. Emergency responders quickly cleared the roadways.
In the Cherkasy region, SES personnel were called out five times due to the bad weather. In two districts of the region, as well as in the regional center, rescuers cleared fallen trees from the roads.
In the Vinnytsia region, State Emergency Service units were called out 15 times to address the effects of the storm. There were no injuries.
The State Emergency Service urged citizens to be cautious during deteriorating weather conditions.



As a reminder, the bad weather left thousands of people without power in the Kyiv region.
In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, severe weather has persisted for the third consecutive day—the region has been hit by heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls.
