The Office of the Prosecutor General has ruled that the charge against the director of NABU, filed by Kravchenko, is legally null and void
The Office of the Prosecutor General has removed the entries in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations regarding the notification of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos, as the relevant statements by then-Prosecutor General Kravchenko were devoid of legal merit. The notice of suspicion itself was not even served in accordance with the procedure provided for by the Code of Criminal Procedure.
This is stated in a press release from the Office of the Prosecutor General.
“In connection with the circulation of a statement regarding the alleged notification of suspicion to one of the heads of anti-corruption agencies, we hereby state: such information is not true.
Within the framework of this criminal proceeding, no person—including the head of an anti-corruption agency—has been notified of a suspicion in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. There is no legal basis for this. The reports of an alleged notification of suspicion were devoid of legal merit. Consequently, the relevant entries in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations regarding the notification of suspicion have been removed,” the statement reads.

NABU Director Kryvonos stated that Prosecutor General Kravchenko was the mastermind behind the attack on NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) in the summer of 2025, and that he had not abandoned this plan. While Operation Carthage was underway, anti-corruption agencies were already aware that a new attack was being prepared.
The Anti-Corruption Center stated that Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko left Ukraine after signing the indictment against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. The Anti-Corruption Center claims that this may have been done in exchange for the opportunity to leave the country.
Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported that he is abroad on an official business trip.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have denied Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko’s statements regarding the alleged charges against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and offers of immunity.
