The European discount retailer chain Pepco plans to open its first stores in Ukraine in four cities at once: Kyiv, Chernivtsi, Mukachevo, and Ternopil.
“This is an important next step in our preparations to enter the Ukrainian market in the second half of 2026. We are currently focused on thoroughly preparing these first stores and adapting our operational processes to local conditions and customer needs. We are confident that our value proposition—which combines high-quality clothing and household goods at attractive prices with a convenient store format—will meet the everyday needs of Ukrainian consumers,” said Arsen Starchenko, Country Manager of Pepco Ukraine.
Pepco’s entry into the Ukrainian market will mark another important milestone in the implementation of the Pepco Group’s strategy, which is aimed at controlled expansion in Central and Eastern Europe and entry into select new markets. Overall, Ukraine will become the company’s 20th market.
In connection with the opening of stores in four cities, Pepco has announced the start of its hiring process; current job openings are posted on the company’s official page on Robota.ua. It is noted that if there is currently no position among the published vacancies that matches a candidate’s experience or expectations, they can submit their resume by filling out the candidate application form for a position at Pepco in Ukraine.
Pepco strives to create a work environment based on respect, equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion. As part of its ESG strategy, Pepco aims to achieve 40% representation of women in leadership positions by 2030, as well as to ensure that all employees have access to platforms through which they can share their opinions and provide feedback.
