Weather in Ukraine on April 15: The Quirin high-pressure system will bring sunshine, but nights will remain cold
On Wednesday, April 15, the weather in Ukraine will be influenced by the Quirin high-pressure system, which will bring mostly sunny and dry conditions to most regions. At the same time, temperatures will gradually rise, although nights will remain cool.
This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko on Telegram.
According to her, the country will be influenced by the ridge of the Finnish anticyclone, though an atmospheric front will partially affect the northeast.
“Don’t rush to switch to overly revealing clothing; it’s still chilly,” the meteorologist noted.
During the day, dry weather with sunny spells will prevail across Ukraine. Only in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions are light rains possible due to the influence of a front from the east.
Overnight temperatures will range from +1 to +5 degrees, and daytime highs will reach +12 to +17 degrees. It will be cooler in the northeastern regions—from +9 to +12 degrees.
A moderate northwesterly wind is expected, with gusts in some areas.
No precipitation is forecast for the capital on April 15. Overnight temperatures will range from +3 to +5 degrees, and daytime temperatures will be around +15 degrees. The wind will be northwesterly, with possible gusts in the morning, later subsiding.
As a reminder, in early April, Ukraine experienced a sharp cold snap due to the influx of Arctic air and the influence of an active cyclone. This caused a drop in temperatures and nighttime frosts in most regions.
During the week of April 13–19, temperatures in Ukraine will rise significantly starting on Tuesday. Rain is expected in some areas at the beginning of the week.
Forecasters have also warned of frosts in Ukraine on April 12 and 13.
