The Poltava City Council had planned to put Petliura's nephew's house up for privatization
The Poltava City Council has decided to privatize, via an electronic auction, the historic building at 13 Mstislav Patriarch Street, where the religious leader and nephew of Symon Petliura, Patriarch Mstislav, was born (Stepan Skrypnyk).
The starting price for this cultural heritage site, with an area of 79.5 square meters, was set at 525,300 hryvnias. The terms of sale required the new owner to enter into a preservation agreement and ensure the preservation of the dilapidated building, the restoration of which the city was unable to finance due to the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation.
Consideration of the draft resolution to approve the auction terms was scheduled for August 20, 2026; however, the city council announced that the item would be removed from the agenda and sent back for revision. Currently, no auction has been announced, and the final terms of privatization remain unapproved.
