More than 100 Ukrainian companies have gained access to combat data for training AI in the defense sector
More than 100 Ukrainian companies have already gained access to the Brave1 Dataroom platform, which allows developers to use real-world combat data to create and refine AI-based solutions.
The platform is a secure digital environment where engineers and IT specialists can work with structured datasets to train, test, validate, and optimize AI models designed for defense needs.
Brave1 Dataroom was created in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Military Intelligence Research Institute, and the American technology company Palantir Technologies.
The platform’s primary goal is to accelerate the development of innovative military technologies and improve the effectiveness of solutions that utilize artificial intelligence.
One of the key areas of focus is the development of interceptor drones and systems for the automatic detection of enemy drones.
To this end, engineers have access to visual and thermal datasets collected during actual combat operations. Such data allows algorithms to be trained to recognize aerial targets in conditions as close as possible to the front lines.
To train the models, data is used that was collected under various conditions:
- during the day and at night;
- under various weather conditions;
- using different types of sensors and cameras;
- based on actual flights of enemy drones.
The developers pay special attention to creating technologies to counter "Shahed"-type attack drones, as well as other Russian unmanned aerial vehicles.
Brave1 Dataroom has become one of the key tools for the development of Ukrainian defense technologies based on artificial intelligence. Thanks to access to real combat data, companies can more quickly create and improve systems for detecting, tracking, and intercepting aerial targets.
Further expansion of the platform is expected to facilitate the emergence of new high-tech solutions to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and improve the effectiveness of countering enemy drones.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted tests of 18 new-generation bomber drone designs, as Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced on March 30.
Over the course of six months, the Ukrainian military ordered 240,000 drones using combat points via the Brave1 Market marketplace.
