More than 5,000 customers in the Chernihiv region are without power due to a Russian attack

As a result of enemy shelling in the border areas of Chernihiv Oblast, power transmission lines were damaged, leading to a widespread power outage in residential areas. The attack caused a power outage affecting more than 5,000 customers in several settlements across the region.

This was reported by Chernihivoblenergo. Power company workers began restoration work as soon as the security situation allowed, in order to restore power to residents’ homes.

Communities located directly near the border were hardest hit by the Russian strikes, where damage to equipment and lines was recorded. Local authorities are ensuring the operation of alternative energy sources for critical infrastructure facilities during the repair period.

On the evening of April 15, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with strike drones, some of which were headed for Odesa. One of the drones struck a residential high-rise building, damaging apartments on the 5th through 7th floors. There are reports of destruction and casualties.

Another explosion was heard in Zaporizhzhia. This is the second attack on the city on April 15.
