Heavy rain and strong winds caused significant damage in the Ternopil region. In the Kremenets community,19 residential buildingsand a music school were damaged, and rescue workers evacuated seven people—including three children—due to flooding.
The villages of Bunivka and Horynka were hit hardest by the storm. In Bunivka, the wind damaged 17 private homes, and in Horynka, two residential buildings were flooded. The storm also partially tore off the roof of the local music school.
According to the State Emergency Service, seven people, including three children, were trapped in the flooded area. All were evacuated using boats, rescue ropes, and special equipment.
Special commissions are currently working in the affected communities to document the damage and assess the losses. Once the necessary paperwork is completed, residents will be able to receive financial assistance to address the aftermath of the storm.
