Strong winds have knocked down trees and blocked roads in four regions of Ukraine
Severe weather, accompanied by strong gusts of wind, caused significant damage and disrupted daily life for residents in the Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv regions.
In addition to municipal services, fire and rescue units of the State Emergency Service were extensively involved in addressing the aftermath of the storm.
Numerous cases of fallen trees and structural elements were reported across Kirovohrad Oblast.
The Regional State Administration’s press service reported: “Both in open areas of populated areas and within private properties.”

In Kropyvnytskyi, a tree fell directly onto a passenger car, and in the city’s districts, downed power lines were reported, posing a danger to pedestrians.
In the Zhytomyr region, the storm led to an incident involving medical transport. Due to strong winds, a massive tree fell on an ambulance that had just arrived to respond to a patient’s call.

Fortunately, rescue workers confirmed that “there were no casualties,” though the vehicle sustained mechanical damage.
The Vinnytsia region also suffered from strong winds, which blocked key roads in the region.

Emergency responders worked around the clock, clearing roads of fallen trees to ensure safe passage for vehicles. The work was carried out promptly to prevent prolonged traffic jams on major highways.
The most dangerous situation occurred in the Kyiv region, where falling trees triggered a fire.

In addition to the fire hazard, the fallen trees significantly hampered traffic on the region’s roads. Representatives of the State Emergency Service stated that “the consequences of the events have been resolved,” but urged citizens to remain vigilant.
Specialists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have urged residents of all regions to avoid areas where there is a risk of falling trees or unstable structures.

Drivers are also strongly advised not to park their vehicles under tall trees or billboards during windy weather.
