Denmark's Prime Minister Rejected Trump's New Claims to Greenland

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has officially responded to the latest remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the establishment of American control over Greenland.

Mette Frederiksen categorically rejected Washington’s aspirations and once again emphasized Copenhagen’s unwavering position, stressing that Greenland is not for sale. According to her, Denmark clearly outlined its approach to this issue during the very first discussions on the matter. She also added that the people of Greenland themselves categorically do not wish to come under the jurisdiction or control of the United States, a fact that local residents and the island’s authorities have repeatedly stated publicly.
