Cleanup efforts following the Russian missile strike are underway in Vyshneve – photos
In the town of Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, units of the State Emergency Service are continuing their round-the-clock efforts to address the aftermath of a massive airstrike. Seven people were killed as a result of the enemy shelling, and another 26 citizens sustained injuries of varying severity.
This enemy strike caused the most extensive damage to the private and residential sectors in the region since the start of the full-scale invasion—a total of 13 hectares of residential buildings were damaged. In addition to residents’ homes, local businesses, administrative buildings, and industrial facilities sustained significant damage; in particular, a damaged Honda dealership has temporarily suspended operations. Given the scale of the damage, the government plans to allocate additional financial resources from the reserve fund to restore the community’s damaged property.

Currently, State Emergency Service personnel are working to extinguish local hot spots, clear debris, and conduct a thorough survey of the area. Special canine units have been deployed for search and clearance operations to locate explosive devices and victims. Firefighting aircraft were deployed to quickly bring the fire under control—a specialized rescue helicopter made more than 30 water drops on the burning structures. In total, approximately 200 personnel and 55 units of specialized equipment are participating in the response operation. Aid stations have also been set up at the scene, where agency psychologists are working with affected residents.
