The President of Finland noted the strengthening of Ukraine's position

Following a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that Ukraine’s current position is the strongest it has been since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.

The Finnish leader emphasized that he had discussed with his counterpart further steps to counter Russian aggression and stressed the crucial importance of continued support from international partners to maintain this momentum. In addition, Stubb noted that Ukraine is demonstrating a willingness to achieve peace.

As a reminder, during a face-to-face meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed suspending hostilities in Ukraine and returning to the negotiation process based on the 2022 Istanbul agreements.
