Ukraine ranks among the top three countries with the lowest birth rates – Business Insider
According to a World Bank Group study, Ukraine’s fertility rate fell to 5.5 births per 1,000 people in 2024, and the total fertility rate stands at approximately one child per woman. Lower rates were recorded only in South Korea (4.7) and San Marino (4.2).
At the opposite end of the spectrum are African countries: the Central African Republic, Chad, and Somalia, where more than 42 births per 1,000 people were recorded.
