The General Staff has refuted a false statement made in Drapato's name
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that a message purportedly from Mykhailo Drapato regarding a large-scale audit within the military is fake. The information was circulated by a number of media outlets and Telegram channels, citing a social media account on platform X, which does not actually belong to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The fake post mentioned the start of inspections to assess the state of affairs in the units and the punishment of those involved in abuses. The General Staff emphasized that the social media page in question is a fake and is not included in the list of the Commander-in-Chief’s official accounts.

In the fake statement, Drapatiy allegedly announced the start of an audit within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, claiming that the inspection would assess the condition of military units, their combat readiness, logistics, staffing, personnel training, and management effectiveness—and that no one would be spared.
As a reminder, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatiy shared his thoughts in an interview with Ukraїner regarding the attitudes of the civilian population in Donetsk and Luhansk regions toward the war, Russia, and the Ukrainian military.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Major General Mykhailo Drapaty as the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of state announced this shortly before midnight on July 21.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatiy, and Acting Minister of Defense Yevhen Khmara must carry out two key tasks: strengthen the defense of Ukrainian airspace and reform the system of territorial recruitment centers.
