Border guards do not check women's "Reserve+" cards when they travel abroad

Ukrainian border guards do not require women to present military registration documents or information from the “Reserve+” app when leaving Ukraine.

State Border Guard Service spokesperson Andriy Demchenko noted that the rules for women crossing the border during martial law have not changed.

“The law does not establish any restrictions on women leaving Ukraine or any specific requirements regarding the verification of certain documents. Therefore, border guards do not check these documents,” Demchenko explained.

According to him, border guards have access to the “Oberig” system, but they do not check women’s military registration documents when they cross the border.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has officially denied reports of any orders issued by the Commander-in-Chief or the command prohibiting military personnel from speaking publicly or giving interviews to the media. The agency described previously published statements regarding such restrictions as untrue.

On the morning of August 3, 2026, users began reporting issues with the Reserve+ app that prevented them from logging into the system. The outage was caused by technical malfunctions that prevented those subject to military service from completing the authorization process.
