A farewell ceremony was held in Zhytomyr for three police officers who were killed during the Russian Federation's attack

On August 21, a funeral was held in Zhytomyr for three police officers who were killed on August 19 when Russian jet drones struck the building of the National Police’s Main Regional Directorate.

Lieutenant Colonels Yulia Yevdokimova and Svitlana Savchenko, as well as Captain Artem Zubchuk, were killed. Fifty-three people were also wounded during the attack.

Yulia Yevdokimova served in the police for 15 years and had been the assistant to the head of the regional department for the past eight years. She was 39 years old and is survived by her husband and parents.

Svitlana Savchenko, 42, had worked in law enforcement for about 25 years. She is survived by her son.

Artem Zubchuk, 32, served for over ten years in the patrol police and strategic investigations units. He is survived by his wife and son.

Svitlana Savchenko and Artem Zubchuk were buried in the Walk of Fame at the Korbutiv Cemetery. Yulia Yevdokimova’s ashes will also be buried there in the future.

In Zhytomyr, the number of people injured in a Russian drone attack on the building of the regional National Police Headquarters has risen to 59. Three people were killed in the strike. Rescue workers continue to work at the scene and clear away the damaged structures.

Earlier, it was reported that in the Brovary community, an incident involving power grid infrastructure was recorded as a result of the enemy attack.
