Prosecutors in Khmelnytskyi Oblast are seeking to reinstate disability benefits through the courts
Dozens of employees of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office, whose disability status was revoked following inspections, have begun seeking its reinstatement through the courts.
According to NGL.media, following last year’s scandal surrounding the Khmelnytskyi Medical and Social Examination Commission, inspections covered 78 prosecutors in the region. As a result, 33 of them lost their disability status, while another 23 were reclassified.
However, some officials challenged these decisions in administrative courts and began winning their cases due to procedural violations during the inspections. In particular, the courts noted the lack of proper grounds for reviewing the decisions and violations of the notification and examination procedures.
As the publication notes, disability status entitles prosecutors not only to a pension, which can reach nearly 26,000 hryvnias, but also to additional employment guarantees.
Lawyers for the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Medical and Social Commission provided law enforcement with confirmation that bail had been posted for the suspect.
As a reminder, Tetyana Krupa, the former chief physician of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise, was released from the Kyiv Detention Center, and her current whereabouts remain unknown.
