Criminal proceedings have been initiated against MP Bezuhlaya
Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into possible criminal offenses committed by MP Mariana Bezuhla. Details of the case are currently being clarified.
This was reported by MP Serhiy Taruta, as well as the Office of the Prosecutor General, in comments to Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Taruta, he and his colleague Fedir Venislavskyi filed a corresponding petition, after which an investigation was launched under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—treason committed under martial law.
As part of the case, investigators will examine whether the MP’s statements could have harmed the Ukrainian military. Specifically, this concerns the dissemination of information regarding the 72nd Brigade in Vuhledar, which, according to Taruta, led to the redeployment of significant Russian forces, the disruption of troop rotations, and the loss of positions.
"And this is not an isolated case. When public activity leads to military casualties, a weakening of defenses, and the demoralization of the army, this is no longer about 'freedom of speech.' This is about responsibility," the MP stated.
The OGP confirmed that, in compliance with court rulings and at the request of the applicants, they entered information into the registry regarding the MP without naming him, though the news agency’s sources confirm that it is indeed Bezuhly.
Law enforcement authoritieshave opened an investigation into the possible disclosure of Armed Forces of Ukraine data regarding Bezuhla.
Earlier, “Servant of the People” MP Mariana Bezuhla advised Kyiv residents to consider temporarily relocating for the fall and winter. She warned that the Russians might attempt to “paralyze” the entire capital by striking critical infrastructure.
MP Mariana Bezuhla also stated that the Dobropil counteroffensive allegedly does not exist. She once again criticized the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
