Russia may not have lost its influence over PrivatBank's internal systems
For several years now, the issue of using POS terminals with Russian software has been raised in Ukraine. In particular, PrivatBank may be using such devices.
Serhiy Zhuk, the founder of BankID in Ukraine, wrote about this.
“I have already cited the example of Compass Plus. For some reason, 90% of the professional banking community believes it is British. The slide shows evidence that it is as British as… ‘Martian,’” Zhuk wrote.
He cited an example from a conference in Sochi that took place in June 2021. It was at this conference, and specifically during PrivatBank’s tender process, that representatives of NADEX spoke.

“The company holds the rights to the ARIASOFT software, which is installed on the very same Taktilion POS terminals on which PrivatBank’s scheming management
has already spent $2 million, resulting in losses of at least The next slide shows a NADEX representative presenting the software. Take a close look—this is the first slide of the presentation... Journalists managed to obtain this presentation, and as we can see, they are identical. But the slide where PrivatBank’s logo is displayed among the banks of the aggressor country looks even more disgraceful,” the author reports.

Zhuk notes that Ukrainian bankers brought this situation to the attention of PrivatBank’s management. However, instead of taking the appropriate step to stop using the Compass Plus software, PrivatBank tried to cover up the Russian connection.
“It has come to light that PrivatBank’s schemers decided to hide their crime! The bank’s ‘imported management,’ with the help of our own PR, HR, the bank’s lawyers, business unit, and IT department, conducted an experiment. They launched several dozen terminals. When I found out this had happened, and my colleagues confirmed my concerns—Tactilion had been connected to PrivatBank’s Compass
Plus by bypassing PrivatBank’s system, using the so-called “workaround” ARIASOFT.
