The SBU detained an FSB agent who was coordinating strikes on Kramatorsk

The Counterintelligence Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in the Donetsk region who was gathering coordinates for airstrikes on Defense Forces targets.

The SBU reported this, noting that the suspect transmitted data to the enemy regarding the locations of Ukrainian troops and military equipment on April 6, 2026. The occupiers selected logistics depots containing ammunition and military supplies as their primary targets, planning to use FAB-1500 guided aerial bombs with wing modules for the attacks.

According to the case file, the perpetrator was a local unemployed man whom the FSB of the Russian Federation recruited in October 2025 through Telegram channels advertising easy money. To carry out the mission, the agent surveyed the area, recorded the geolocations of military facilities on Google Maps and saved screenshots on his smartphone, and also covertly extracted information from acquaintances. The detainee has been notified of suspicion of treason and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

A Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier who directed Russian strikes on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region has been convicted.

As a reminder, the SBU detained a spotter for Russian strikes on Chernivtsi.

The SBU also exposed a Russian spy network that was planning terrorist attacks using teenagers.
