The Security Service of Ukraine announced the arrest of an FSB agent who was working in one of the SBU’s frontline units and passing classified information to the enemy.
This was reported by the SBU.
According to the investigation, the woman passed on data to the Russian special services regarding operational developments and criminal proceedings of the Ukrainian special services. In particular, the enemy was interested in information about the exposure of agent networks, agitators, and the personal data of SBU employees.
As noted by the security service, the agent was recruited through her father, who lives in the temporarily occupied city of Berdyansk and collaborates with the enemy. He gave her instructions on how to gather intelligence.
According to the investigation, the suspect photographed or recorded classified information on her phone and later passed it on to the Russian side.
During a search of the detainee’s residence, a smartphone containing evidence of her collaboration with the FSB was seized. She is facing charges of treason committed under martial law. The penalty for this offense is life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
As a reminder, the SBU detained a coordinator of Russian strikes on Chernivtsi.
The SBU also exposed a Russian intelligence network that was planning terrorist attacks using teenagers.
