The SBU detained a Russian strike coordinator in Zaporizhzhia who was disguised as an elderly person

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another FSB agent who was directing Russian airstrikes on the frontline city of Zaporizhzhia. To avoid attracting attention, the Russian mercenary disguised himself as an elderly man. The suspect is currently in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The SBU reported this on Facebook.

The investigation revealed that the enemy agent was a 45-year-old local resident who was evading mobilization. He came to the enemy’s attention while looking for “easy money” on Telegram channels. In exchange for promises of “side jobs,” the suspect began patrolling the streets of the regional center to identify the coordinates of Defense Forces units.

After his reconnaissance missions, the suspect would return home and prepare text messages describing the terrain and coordinates, which he would transmit to his FSB handler.

SBU officers documented the suspect’s crimes and detained him at his residence. Simultaneously, measures were taken to secure the Defense Forces’ locations. During a search, a smartphone and tablet containing evidence of his work for the enemy were seized from the detainee.

As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine detained another agent in Mykolaiv who was working for Russia. This individual is a repeat offender who passed information about the locations of the Defense Forces to the enemy.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine formally charged Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev in absentia, whom they believe to be involved in supporting the war against Ukraine.

In Dnipro and Odesa, Russian agents were exposed for setting fires in the cities.
