A village in the Kirovohrad region took in 700 train passengers during a drone attack
On the night of March 24, the village of Dobronadiyivka in the Kirovohrad region served as a temporary shelter for passengers on Train No. 734 traveling from Kyiv to Dnipro.
This was reported by the Popelnastivska community on Facebook.
Due to the massive threat of strikes by Iranian “Shahed” drones, the train was stopped, and the passengers were urgently evacuated.
The local community reacted immediately to the emergency, turning the village cultural center into a makeshift shelter.
More than 700 people were able to wait out the danger in a warm building while air defense forces continued their operations in the sky.
“Last night, about 700 passengers on Train No. 734 traveling from Kyiv to Dnipro found themselves in a situation that no one plans for and for which it is impossible to be prepared. Due to the threat from the ‘Shaheds,’ people were forced to evacuate,” the Popelnastivska community reported.
Residents of Dobronadiivka organized a relief effort in the middle of the night, prepared hot drinks, and provided opportunities to charge mobile devices.
For many passengers, including children and the elderly, this support was critically important during a stressful moment.
In the middle of the night, the village of Dobronadiyivka became a true haven of warmth and humanity. Without a moment’s hesitation, local residents opened their doors and gave hundreds of people the chance to rest after a harrowing journey under fire.
As a reminder, Russian troops carried out another combined attack on Ukraine, using strike drones and cruise missiles.
Russia also attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times, injuring a woman.
